“What is there to do in Worcester?” Well, this page is all about places to go in Worcester - are we missing something? Let us know!
Worcester is a brilliantly balanced city. Big enough to have plenty going on, but intimate enough not to feel overwhelming. Urban buzz, but with rolling countryside on its doorstep. And we know (one of the NBB team lives there!) If you're visiting for the day, be sure to have a stroll along the river and College Green, perhaps checking out the new Diglis Basin development. Across Worcester Bridge is the home of Worcestershire Cricket, with nice views of the City and Cripplegate Park. The main high street has all the shops you'd expect, boasting three shopping centres: Broadgate, Crowngate and Cathedral Plaza, and several specialist shopping arcades such as Reindeer Court. One of Worcester's favourite roads is Friar Street with its attractive Tudor buildings, Almshouses and Greyfrairs, a National Trust property. Worcester is home to a leading and thriving University and boasts the world's largest joint University and Public Library, a 60 million pound development called The Hive which the Queen is due to open in July on her Diamond Jubilee tour.
